Jakarta - PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS) Tbk, the Association of Priority Lane Companies (APJP), and the Indonesian Bonded Logistics Center Association (PPLBI) have established a synergy to implement the iCargo service.
This was demonstrated by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a socialization event themed "iCargo: Value Creation to Digitize Indonesian Seaport," attended by representatives of APJP and PPLBI members. This collaboration is a realization of IPC's vision to become a world-class port operator excelling in operations and services through digital solutions.
iCargo is a logistics solution that facilitates service users (Cargo Owners/Consignees and Freight Forwarders) in applying for DO (Delivery Order) documents online without visiting Shipping Lines.
The application offers benefits including online DO document processing, with primary advantages in time and cost efficiency, reduced counter queues, avoidance of traffic congestion, and transaction security. This method also shortens post-clearance time for goods release from ports. Transactions are conducted electronically via cashless methods.
ILCS President Director Yusron Hariyadi stated that this service is dedicated to digitizing Indonesian ports to assist logistics players, especially shipping lines.
"We thank all parties who have entrusted us in implementing iCargo. We continuously develop this service to make it beneficial and become a one-stop solution for the Indonesian port community. We hope this application improves goods flow processes to be smoother and more monitored," said Yusron in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/2).
Tanjung Priok Type A Customs and Excise Office, represented by Hermiyana, expressed support and appreciation for ILCS's digitalization initiative through iCargo, which could accelerate post-clearance processes and potentially reduce Dwelling Time and Indonesia's logistics costs.
"iCargo or Online DO has long been a dream and breakthrough for import-export players, especially at Tanjung Priok Port," he explained.
Meanwhile, PPLBI Chairman represented by Widiyanto noted that as Indonesia's industry grows, bonded logistics center businesses will expand, making technology's role vital.
"Therefore, iCargo provides a technological implementation solution in Bonded Logistics Centers to deliver better services meeting international standards," he stated.
APJP representative Cornelius F Atmadjie explained that businesses can now process port administration payments and print DO documents online, enhancing operational security while increasing efficiency through reduced manual DO retrieval processes.
"We hope iCargo will be adopted by all integrated Terminal Operators and shipping lines in the future," he concluded.
