On October 23, 2024, PPLBI held a meeting with Jakarta Japan Club (JJC) to explore collaboration opportunities in managing the Bonded Logistics Center (PLB). This meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two organizations by identifying synergies that could enhance PLB's operational efficiency and sustainable growth in logistics management.

During the discussion, both parties acknowledged several challenges at PLB, particularly regarding consignment schemes, regulatory certainty, and tax policies. As a follow-up step, PPLBI and JJC agreed to collaborate in seeking solutions by involving relevant regulators, such as the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.

Moving forward, PPLBI and JJC are committed to formalizing this cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is expected to not only strengthen logistics operations but also support smooth international trade flows, reinforcing Indonesia's position as a logistics hub in the Southeast Asian region.
